Mindscapes

Artist name: Arthur Beauregard

Homebase: Toronto, Canada

Art Styles: Psychedelic Mindscapes / Visual – Audio Performance Art

Bio: As a contemporary and participant in the Counterculture Movement of the 1960’s-70’s, Arthur Beauregard embraced the psychedelic art and music of that period. He began to experiment with different artistic mediums and created his own psychedelic expressions using transparency film (slides), various paints, hand painting techniques, and light sources.

His first music/image montage was created in 1970. This became the basis for Arthur’s live performance art events where he shared his work before audiences in theatres in his home town of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Given the fundamental belief that his art is meaningful to the degree that viewers bring their own perceptions and interpretations to his performances, Arthur’s work evolved into the formal art project, “Mindscapes,” a psychedelic visual / audio experience that he integrates into live concert events across Toronto using the original analogue format and/or digital adaptation.

Arthur’s professional involvement in art also includes horticultural themed art and photography. This has included work with visual artists in Regina, Saskatchewan, his role as Artistic Director for the City of Toronto at Allen Gardens, working in collaboration with the National Ballet and at Mosaiculture in Montreal; and with his commissioned photography being exhibited on magazine covers and at Toronto City Hall.

Inspirational Quote by the Artist:  “Psychedelic art provides the opportunity for self discovery; to forge organic progressions; and to create realms where anything is possible.

B:HAT

Performer name: B:HAT (Sudhindra Bhat)

Homebase: Toronto, Canada

Performance Styles: Deep and Hypnotic Indo-Electronic Live Music.

Bio:Born and musically raised in Bengaluru, India, B:HAT spent decades in the underground music scene, performing as a DJ across secret rave circuits and experimental art spaces. With roots in traditional Indian percussion and deep exposure to Carnatic and Hindustani rhythm systems, he developed a unique language of groove. Now based in Toronto, Canada, B:HAT has evolved into a fully live hardware and hybrid performer, abandoning prerecorded sets in favor of moment-to-moment creation. His performances merge driving electronic patterns, melodic ragas, textured drones, and ritualistic percussion, an alchemy that feels simultaneously ancient and futuristic. B:HAT has collaborated with multiple underground and independent record labels, contributing to various projects rooted in Indo-electronic fusion. He is actively working on new material and collaborations while maintaining his foundation as a primarily live artist. A Cancer Survivor who is drawing inspiration from spiritual philosophy, psychedelia, and raw improvisation, B:HAT’s sound aims to elevate the listener into a state of transcendence. Each set is a ceremonial journey shaped entirely by the venue, the environment, and the collective vibe.
